Thanks to the generosity of you our donors, we have been able to reestablish a continuous security presence in the park again!!! A total of $9000 was committed last week. However, once that funding is expended we will have to revert to a 4-day per week presence within the next three months using previously committed City funding (which itself will be expended by the end of this year.)
SPARK continues to attempt to solicit donations from all possible sources including City funding if it again becomes available. For those of you who work for or are in any way associated with large organizations, please be sure to tell them about us!
As of Jul 9, 2021, our total funding from all donation sources (PayPal, mailed checks, and contributions from SPARK Board members) is $9,924.27, $9000 of which will be paid to the security contractor once the check is cashed. There have been no other expenditures from donations.
